Bette Lybarger

Bette J. Lybarger, 92, of Beardstown, formerly of Browning, passed away at 10:07 AM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

She was born on January 22, 1926, in Sheldon’s Grove, Illinois, the daughter of Willis and Doris (Lane) Hamm.  She married James Rollin Lybarger on October 22, 1944, in Troy, Kansas.  He preceded her in death on August 5, 1996.

Surviving are one brother Robert Hamm of Browning, two sisters Clara June Little and Mary Lois Hamm both of Beardstown, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by four brothers Richard, Charles, Roger, and John Hamm, and three sisters Delores Hamm, Beverly Ruth Bechard and Linda Pierson.

Betty was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Browning United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking.  She grew the most beautiful African Violets.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Browning Cemetery, with Pastor Charla Meyers officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the Browning Senior Center.
