Billy Owens

William (Billy) Kim Owens passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones at Blessing Memorial Hospital in Quincy Illinois on Friday, August 30th, 2024. He was 43 years old.

Born May 29th 1981, to Theresa Owens-Tadlock in Keokuk Iowa. He was the second in line of three children. His older brother Shannon Owens, and younger sister Skylynn Owens-Given.

Billy always left an impact on everyone he met. He was a pure, original, and unforgettable soul. The ones who knew him best will forever remember his infectious laughter, smile, and his eccentric sense of style. He enjoyed the food, movies, music, and entertainment of his youth. He surrounded himself with the things he loved and he enjoyed them fully. He took comfort in his home and close family. And lastly, he loved more than most were even capable of. He was unburdened by the world, every emotion he wore on his sleeve and he will be missed dearly for it.

Survivors include his mother, Theresa Tadlock of Quincy, Illinois; brother, Shannon (Carrie) Owens; sister, Skylynn Owens-Given. And his nieces and nephews, Aarianna and Trinity Owens. Venus Rekart, Kristian (Bea) Zufall-Owens, Joseph Whelan, and Victoria Jefferson. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Arleen Owens and Step-Father Rex Tadlock.

Cremation rights have been accorded. The Triplett Funeral Home in Mendon has been entrusted to care for William and his family.
