Carole J. Kuhn

Carole Joan Kuhn, 89, of Ursa, Illinois, passed away at 10:50pm, on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living Center.  Carole was born on June 6, 1933, to Charles and Frieda (Jurgens) McGartland, at her grandmother's home in Coatsburg, Illinois.  Carole attended the Maplewood School in Camp Point, Illinois.  She worked professionally as a nurse assistant at Sunset Home, and she also worked as a private nurse assistant.

Carole took great pride in gardening and loved to be out working in her flower beds.  Carole also loved butterflies.

Carole was predeceased by her son Brent Charles Kuhn; brothers Ray, Gerald, Donald, Howard, Robert, and Glenn McGartland; and a sister, Mary Ellen Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Roger)Klauser of Quincy, Illinois, Linda (Terry) Ensminger of Mendon, Illinois, Tammy Kuhn-Kirchner of DeSoto, Illinois, sons Bruce Kuhn of Magnolia, Texas, and Brian (Angela) Kuhn of Summerville, South Carolina; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 one on the way.  Also surviving are Carole's sisters; Eileen Boden, Marie M. Robinson, and Donna Jean Haschemeyer.

A graveside inurnment for Carole will be held at 2:00pm, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at New Loraine Cemetery.

Memorials in Carole's memory to Blessing Hospice in Quincy, are gratefully accepted.
