David was born on July 6, 1951, in Quincy. He was a son of Wilbur Ray Kerker and Violet R. Wartick Kerker.
David graduated Suma Cum Laude from Quincy University and served his country in the United States Army. He was a Project Manager for TWACK in St. Louis, Mo., and was previously employed by Harris Broadcasting and Glenayre, both in Quincy.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Mendon and a past member of the Mendon Lions Club, Jaycees and Mendon Village Board. David loved watching his grandkids grow up. He also loved fishing, NASCAR and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include two children, Clarissa (Brian) Bangert of Plainville, Zachary (Lori Saling) Kerker of Springfield; two grandchildren, Kasey Bangert and Kylee Bangert of Plainville; his father, Wilbur Ray Kerker; two brothers, Daniel (Aleta) Kerker of Redlands, Calif., Dennis (Lisa) Kerker of Quincy; one sister, Paula (Robert) Humeniuck of Baudette, Minn.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins
He was preceded in death by his mother.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday at Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon. The Pastor Dennis Gartung conducting. Interment will be in the Paloma Cemetery, Paloma.
VISITATION: 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: North Adams Home or the First Congregational Church of Mendon.
