Dawn Mittelberg

Dawn M. Mittelberg, 56, of Quincy passed away at 5:38 P.M on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Dawn was born on September 28, 1961 in Quincy to the Late Darwin E. Simmons and Naomi (Dedert) Simmons. She married Gary Mittelberg on June 9, 1984 in Quincy. Gary survives of Quincy.

Also surviving are; two children, Cameron (Victoria) Mittelberg of Mendon, Amber (Brandon) Altmix of Springfield; two grandchildren, Addison and Christine Mittelberg of Mendon; one granddaughter on the way, Alexandria Altmix; two brothers, Richard (Beverly) Simmons of Ursa, Robert (Pam) Simmons of Mendon; one sister, Deb (Ken) Smith of Mendon; her mother Naomi Simmons of Mendon and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darwin Simmons.

Dawn was a Para Educator with the Quincy Public Schools and a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Mendon. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cross stitching, crocheting, traveling and going to the beach. She especially enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been suggested to the Blessing Cancer Center. There will be no services, cremation will take place after the visitation.
