Glenna "Grace" Prather

Glenna “Grace” S. Prather, 51, of Rushville, Illinois passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at her home. She was born August 16, 1971, in Jacksonville, Illinois, the daughter of Glenn Garman and Carol Murphy Garman. Glenna married Marshall Prather on September 12, 2009, in Rushville, Illinois.  Marshall survives in Rushville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Dylan Prather, Nick Prather, and Tristan Prather; her mother, Carol Garman of Bluffs, Illinois, a half-brother, B.J. (Sarah) Garman of Jacksonville, Illinois; a brother, Glen Garman, Murryville, Illinois; brothers-in-law: Rex (Nicky) Prather and Victor Prather, all of Rushville, Illinois; a sister-in-Law, Penny (Michael) Scrogum of Macomb, Illinois; and her best friend, June Hamilton of Alsey, Illinois.  Glenna was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Garman; sisters-in- law:  Sheila Prather and Vicky Prather; and a brother-in-law; Paul Prather.

Glenna was a graduate of Bluffs High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb.  She enjoyed raising her family as a loving wife and mother.  She was a true Chocolate Labrador Retriever lover and adored the many she raised throughout the years.

Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Triplett – Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, Illinois with Chaplin Crystal Sherack officiating.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Chockley Cemetery, Industry, Illinois.  Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, with family meeting friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at Triplett – Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, Illinois.  Memorials have been established for Schuyler County Ambulance Services, Rushville.
