Heather Post

Heather Renee Post, 38, of Golden, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.  Born on December 11, 1982, in Rushville, Illinois, a daughter of Robert Bean and the late Marilyn (Leverton) Bean. She married Craig Post on April 21, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden. Illinois. He survives.

Heather is survived by her husband, Craig Post of Golden, her children Phillip Fitzjarrald III of Rushville, Illinois, Nathan Post and Eli Post of Golden, her father, Robert Bean of Beardstown, Illinois, paternal grandmother, Rose Bean, a sister, Misty Awbrey-Ford and her husband Ricky of Oak Harbor, Washington, aunt, Jessie Gustafson of Rushville, Illinois, two nephews, Faolan Ford and Grayson Ford both of Oak Harbor, Washington. Many cousins and friends also survive.

She was preceded death by her, mother, paternal grandparents, James and Nancy Newbern and maternal grandparents, Charles and Rose Ann Leverton.

Heather was a 2001 graduate of Rushville High School.  She was currently employed as a Correctional Officer at Western Illinois Correctional Center and was a part time bus driver for Camp Point Central School District.

Heather loved anything outdoors, she loved camping, hiking, kayaking, sxs riding and floating, but her greatest joy was her three sons. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan.   She loved being a mom and took great pride in her boys.  She was a big sports mom, and enjoyed watching her boys play ball.  Heather was happiest when she was spending time with her family.  She loved to travel whether it was a quick weekend trip or packing up for a family vacation.  Her family was her world.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, at the Hunter Funeral Home in Golden, Illinois with Pastor Thomas Graves to officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the charity of the Donor’s Choice.
