Joann Harvey

Joann Lee Harvey, 87, of Fowler, Illinois passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday December 3, 2023, at Quincy Healthcare & Senior Living.

Joann was born on January 14, 1936, a daughter of Clyde Truman and Willa Fern (McMahan) Jones. She attended Lima Grade School and graduated from Unity High School in 1954. She worked at Motorola, Harris and retired from Broadcast Electronics. Joann was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Joann was an extremely independent woman who loved fishing, sewing, watching the birds and bunnies in her yard. She also loved reading and playing cards.

She is survived by a sister, Bonnie (Loren) Cox of Burnside, Illinois and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Velva Jones, a sister Judy Northup and three brothers, Ralph, Ray, and Jim Jones.

Funeral services for Joann will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy, Illinois. Pastor Martin Eden to officiate. Interment in Lima Cemetery, Lima Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
