Jody Alice Flesner

October 5, 1974 — March 23, 2025

Camp Point

Jody Flesner, 50, of Camp Point, IL formerly of Washington, IL passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness Sunday, March 23, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and friends in Peoria, Il.

She was born October 5, 1974, in Peoria, to E. Sue Barnes-Hall, and was raised in a blended and extended family, including her father, Thomas R. Barnes, and stepfather, Lester R. Hall, all of whom will be there to welcome her home.

Jody married Rick Flesner of Clayton, Il on Oct 1, 2005, and their 10 year union resulted in her three beloved children, Dietrich, Jasper and Paxton Flesner of Camp Point, IL, who survive her. She is additionally survived by two sisters, Estrellita Algood-Barnes, of East Peoria, IL and Anne Barnes, of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law Bobby Ramsey of Columbus, Ohio; and her nephew, Johnathan Lovegrove of East Peoria.

Jody attended Washington Community High School and was a 2011 graduate of Blessing Hospital School of Radiological Technology. Jody worked as an x-ray technician at several area hospitals during her 14 year career. As much as she enjoyed it, her career did not hold a candle to being her children's baseball, football, track, and band's most committed cheerleader. Jody took enormous pride in her children and their achievements, including all three becoming Eagle Scouts, and her oldest becoming a 3rd generation Marine. She rarely missed an opportunity to support them in their endeavors. Jody additionally deeply loved animals, music, travel and nature. Her wit and laughter will be profoundly missed.

The family of Jody Flesner would like to thank the Nurses, MDs, and staff at both Blessing ICU and OSF St. Francis SICU for their tireless efforts to give our family more time with our Angel, even though God had other plans.

Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm followed by a memorial service on Saturday, April 5th at Triplett Funeral Home in Golden, IL.

Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross or to the Jody Flesner Education Fund for her children.
