Justin Byrd

LORAINE, Ill. -- Justin Alan Byrd, J.D, LL.M, 30, of Engelwood, Colo., formerly of Loraine died on Friday (July 4, 2014) near Osage Beach, Mo.

Justin was born on Sept. 23, 1983, in Rushville to Ronald and Angie Benjamin Byrd. He was engaged to be married to Cassie Pavlovic.

Justin graduated from Unity High School in Mendon. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Northern Illinois School of Law and the University of Denver in Denver, Colo. He was a senior tax resolution attorney for Blackfin IRS Solutions.

Justin was a member of the Greenwood Village Chapter of BNI, which is a business networking group. He was also a published author in the NIU Law Review. He enjoyed camping and hiking and was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed reading, writing and socializing with family and friends.

Justin is survived by his fiancAC.e, Cassie of Engelwood; his pug, Mya; his parents, Ronald and Angie Byrd of Loraine, three sisters, Alyssa (Adam) Uppinghouse of Canton, Mo., Kelsie Byrd of Loraine and Mikayla Byrd of Loraine; maternal grandparents, Joe and Janice Benjamin of Bowen; paternal grandparents, Harold and Marie Byrd of Hannibal; aunts and uncles, Annette and George Toolate of Loraine, Joe Benjamin of Rogersville, Mo., Harold Byrd Jr. of Ursa, Donald and Amy Byrd of Quincy, Kathy and Frank White of Hannibal; Cassie's parents, Milon and Barb Pavlovic of Fowler; Cassie's sister, Melanie (Kyle) Kluzek of Springfield, Ill.; and several cousins.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, in The Crossing Church of Lima, with Chaplain Richard Martin officiating.

VISITATION: 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 10, in The Crossing Church of Lima with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m.
