Kirsten Dawn Seals, 42, of Quincy, passed away, after a long battle with cancer, at 3:43 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on September 5, 1978, in Quincy, a daughter of Robert Sparks and Linda (Koltzenberg) Bliven. Kirsten married Chad Seals on September 12, 1997 at Quincy. He survives.
Those left to cherish her memory are, a son, C.J. Seals; daughters, Lillien Seals and Maya Seals all of Quincy; her mother, Linda Bliven of Quincy; mother-in-law, Karen Seals of Joliet; father-in-law, Duane Seals of Quincy; sisters, Shana (fiancé Jason Seals) Sparks, Kayli Sparks, Jennifer (Mike) Peck and Sherry (Shad) Richmiller; brothers-in-law, Jason Seals, Craig Seals; a sister-in-law, Jill (Tony) Dunker; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, fathers, Robert Sparks and James Bliven, and a nephew, James “Jamie” Mixer.
Kirsten was a 1996 graduate of Quincy Senior High. She was a daycare provider for many years and enjoyed cooking and baking sweet treats for family and friends. She was well known for her delicious lasagna. She loved traveling to Texas, an especially to the “Cabin” to the relax.
The family would like to especially thank, April Grattan, Dr. Koduru, and his nurse Leslie for all the special and excellent care you have provided over the years.
Private Funeral Services will be held with Jim Dennis to officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, January 20, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon. Mask and social distancing will be required. Memorials are suggested to QMG Foundation for Cancer Crush or to the Quincy Humane Society.
