Larrie Brown

Larrie Dean Brown, 56, of Loraine passed away at 9:45 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2016 in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Larrie was born on April 2, 1960 in Quincy, the fifth son of the late Ray and Glenna (Clark) Brown.

He was a graduate of Unity High School and lived his entire life in Loraine. He worked, for a few years at Speedtrack in Quincy and for his dad, who owned and operated Brown Garage in Loraine. Once Larrie and his wife, Christine became the owner/operators of the business it was moved to Quincy, where they ran it as Brown Truck Repair and Towing, Inc., for 25 years. Larrie repaired and towed semi-trucks and was an exceptional welder.

Larrie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, mushroom hunting, spending time with his friends, camping at Whispering Oaks Campgrounds and riding his Harley “Pearl”.

Surviving are; his wife of 34 years, Christine (Straube) Brown of Loraine, two sons, Lennie (Heather Williams) Brown of Mendon, Russ Brown of Loraine, one daughter, Terrie (Terry) Fryrear of Loraine, two grandsons, Elijah Fryrear and Hunter Brown, one step grandson, William Fryrear, two granddaughters, Lillian Fryrear and Kenna, one brother, Mike (Mary Greenslaugh) Brown of Quincy and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis, infancy, Russ and Doug Brown.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon with Reverend Connie Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in the Curless Cemetery near Loraine. There will be no visitation but friends and family are invited to the services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the United Methodist Church of Loraine or the Donor’s Choice.
