Larry Miller

Larry L. Miller, 75, of Mendon, died on Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2014) in Vibra Hospital in Springfield, Ill.

Larry was born on Jan. 8, 1939, in Quincy, a son of Lawrence L. and Mary Runyen Miller. He married Rosealee Taylor on Sept. 27, 1959, in Mendon. Rosealee survives of Mendon.

Larry worked for Electric Wheel in Quincy for 25 years, the village of Mendon for more than 20 years, and owned and operated his own small engine repair business in Mendon for more than 40 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Toby. He also enjoyed playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Rosealee, of Mendon; three children, Rita Leasman of Ursa, Brad Miller of Keokuk, Iowa, Kevin Miller and his companion, Paulette Keith, of Mendon; six grandchildren, Joshua (Susan) Goudschaal of Ursa, Jessica Miller of Keokuk, Kylee Miller and fiancAC., Jonathan Straube, of Quincy, Kelsey Miller of Mendon, Zachery Miller and Evan Miller of Mendon; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Goudschaal, Skylor Goudschaal and Jonathan Straube Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Lou Schoch of Quincy and Donna Baxter of Mendon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon, with the Rev. Dennis Gartung officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mendon Cemetery at Mendon.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.
