Lori L. Swan, 61, of Rushville, passed away at 1:31 PM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Macomb.
She was born on April 25, 1960, in Beardstown, Illinois, the daughter of Dwight and Lillian (Luttrell) Thompson. She married Marion Thomas “Tom” Swan on November 15, 1981, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2021.
Surviving are three children Jack Hulslander III and companion Charity Ferendzo of Marissa, Nicole Quinn of Macomb, and Amanda Friday and husband Brian of Springfield, eight grandchildren Tristan Ferendzo, Erica Taylor, Collin Quinn, Ashleigh Friday, Cameron and Caleb McClintock, Dominic Quinn, and Autumn Friday, one sister Jeanne Woodruff and husband Jim of Rushville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister Charlotte Jones.
Lori attended Rushville High School and graduated from Spoon River College. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in healthcare her entire career, until ill health in February 2020.
Her favorite place was the outdoors, where she enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, camping, boating and gardening. She was a very good cook, and loved cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed scratch-off tickets, bingo, and going to casinos.
Services will be at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, with Reverend Stacy Tomich officiating. Interment will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Memorials are suggested to Hope Blooms.
