Mary Henning

QUINCY -- Mary F. Henning, 91, of Quincy, formerly of rural Loraine, died Sunday (Feb. 8, 2015) at her home.

Mary was born on Oct. 6, 1923, in Adair, to the late Lawrence and Wilda (Kelly) Gillenwater. She married Wilson Eugene Henning on Jan. 5, 1944, in Quincy. Wilson died Sept. 25, 1999.

Mary was a former member of the Loraine Christian Church in Loraine. She attended Union United Methodist Church in Quincy, and she enjoyed playing bingo and cards as well as reading. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a close-knit circle of friends at the Harvest Hills Apartment Complex in Quincy.

Surviving are three children, Joseph (Janice) Henning Sr. of Quincy, Wilda (David) Agans of Meredosia and Vickie (Randy) Allen of Loraine; five grandchildren, Joe (Renea) Henning Jr. of Quincy, Robert (Shannon) Henning of California, Jennifer (Michael) Brown of Forsyth, Christina (James) Davis of Virginia, and Kelly (Michael) Baker of Quincy; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the Hunter Funeral Home at Golden with the Revs. Tim Woodard, Joe Tomich and Stacy Tomich officiating. Interment will be in the Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden.

VISITATION: 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Hunter Funeral Home in Golden
