Mary Schoch

Mary Lou Schoch, 82, of Quincy, IL. passed away at 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Timber Point Health Care Center in Camp Point, IL.  Born on January 8, 1939 in Quincy, IL. a daughter of Lawrence L. and Mary (Runyen) Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Bill) Frey of Pleasant Plains, IL; her son, Terry (Debbie) Schlipman of Mendon; grandchildren, Mary (Derek) Cochran of Springfield, IL, Will Frey of Pleasant Plains, IL, Aaron (Kristin) Schlipman of Maryville, IL, Jared (Rachel) Schlipman of Ursa, IL and Brandon Schlipman of Quincy, IL; great grandchildren, Louca and Royce Cochran, Natalie and Allison Schlipman, Emmett and Monroe Schlipman and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Larry Miller; and sister Donna Baxter.

Mary Lou attended Loraine Grade School and graduated from Unity High School. She was a member of Madison Park Christian Church.  She worked for Motorola, Harris Corp, and First Banker’s Trust in Quincy. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, golfing and time spent with friends and family.  She took pleasure in solving jig saw puzzles.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Mendon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
