Nancy Bollinger, 75, of Rushville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at O.S.F. St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. She was born February 13, 1947, in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Margaret Renner Stoops. She married Leroy Bollinger on July 16, 1975, in Astoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 9th, 2018.
She is survived by two daughters: Beverly Bollinger-Crenshaw (Jimmy) of Astoria, Illinois and Julie Cady (Patrick) of Rushville, Illinois; two sons: Robert Bollinger of Browning, Illinois and Michael Bollinger of Macomb, Illinois. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Debbie Lovecamp (Trenton), and three great grandchildren: Hannah Spencer, Hunter Ingles, and Chloe Ingles; two sisters: Shirley Lawver of Astoria, Illinois and Sharon Umphryes of Lincoln, Illinois; and one brother, Charles Stoops of Blair, Oklahoma.
In addition to her husband, Leroy, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Vail Cady II: two brothers: Clair Stoops and Michael Stoops; a daughter-in-law, Londa Bollinger; and two brother-in-laws, Milt Lawver and Lee Umphryes.
She attended and graduated from Astoria High School, class of 1965. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and Eastern Star. She worked for Atwoods in Havana, Illinois and Fibra-Steel in Astoria, Illinois. Leroy and Nancy owned and managed L&N Industries in Rushville, Illinois.
She enjoyed and was talented in crafting. She loved to oil paint, was an excellent cook and was World famous for her handmade egg noodles. She enjoyed gardening. Many Spring and Summer days were spent tending to her flowers. She loved Roses, hydrangeas, and orchids.
Services will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 12:30 in the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville, Illinois. Graveside Service will be immediately following service at Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville, Illinois.
Memorials have been established for First Christian Church of Rushville or Culbertson Memorial Hospital Foundation.
