Pauline Parsano, 90, of Rushville, passed away at 9:05 AM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.
She was born on November 29, 1927, in Brown County, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Alta Mildred (Hughes) Bowman. She married Harley “Parsie” Parsano on September 23, 1946, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1993.
Surviving are four daughters Sharon Gossage, Sandi Prather and husband Rick, and Sally Toland and husband Jim all of Rushville and Rissa Keck of Bartonville, one son-in-law Larry Trone of Rushville, ten grandchildren Deano Trone and wife Courtnie, Jo Trone and wife Emily, Shelley Kveton and husband Kevin, Stacey Briney and husband Nathan, Nick Prather and wife Missy, Brett Prather and wife Jen, Jamie Toland and wife Sarah, Matthew Toland and husband Saul Nache, Cara Ham and husband Terry, and Shanna Flowers and husband Josey, 27 great grandchildren Dallas Trone, Austin Trone, Ainsley Trone, Maggie Trone, Tanna Trone, Tyson Trone, Clay Stambaugh, Madison Kveton, Julia Kveton, Bailey Ervin, Kaylynn Briney, Casey Prather, Cole Prather, Connor Prather, Colin Fuqua, Tyler Prather, Lyric Prather, Jack Prather, Jayden Prather, Kope Prather, Carter Toland, Elise Toland, Megan Ham, Mylie Ham, Micah Ham, Camryn Flowers, Joaney Flowers, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters Rhonda Lea Parsano and Sue Trone, son-in-law Stan Gossage, one grandson Doug Trone, one sister Norma Foiles, four brothers Vernon, Truman, John and Joe Bowman.
Pauline worked for 7 years at Ball Variety Store, Mode-O-Day, and Antiques and Trumpery all in Rushville. She also cleaned houses. She and her husband help manage the Rushville Roller Rink. They also managed the Ayerco Convenience Store for many years.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville. She enjoyed dancing and roller skating. She loved reading.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Rushville City Cemetery in Rushville, with David Haney officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, May 13, 2018, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Memorials are suggested to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or Hope Blooms.
