LORAINE, Ill. -- Randy H. Jenkins, 57, of Loraine, died Saturday (May 2, 2015) at his home.
Randy was born Nov. 30, 1957, in Quincy to Francis and Evadora (Cogburn) Jenkins. He married Mary Houghton on June 11, 1993, in Quincy, and she survives.
Randy was of the Methodist faith. He retired from Rees Construction in Quincy in 2011 after 27 years with the company. He was a member of Laborers Local No. 231. He was an avid bass fisherman, loved working on his 1968 Camaro and, above all, spending time with his son.
Surviving are Randy's wife, Mary, of Loraine; his mother, Evadora Jenkins, of Quincy; one son, Michael Jenkins, of Quincy; two sisters, Janice (Ron) Cook of Mendon and Gloria (Mike) Houghton of Quincy; one brother-in-law, Robert Houghton, of Quincy; one sister-in-law, Debbie Houghton, of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Ronald Jenkins; and one nephew, David Randall.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, at the Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon, with Pastor Sherri Renner conducting. Interment will be in New Loraine Cemetery, Loraine.
VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: Unity Sportsman Club.
