Rebecca Patrick

Rebecca Lynn Patrick, 52, of Astoria, passed away at 12:55 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2021, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

She was born on March 9, 1969, in Rushville, the daughter of Bernard and Wanda (Peterman) French.

Surviving are two sons Jacob Lee Sheppard of Herrin and Jack Logan Patrick of Petersburg, her daughter Jossee Foster of Colchester, her father Bernard French of Astoria, three siblings Ronald Eugene French of Jacksonville, Kimberly Sue French Wilson of Camp Point and Gary Lee French of Galesburg, one niece Kasey Wilson, of Quincy and one great nephew, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother Wanda French.

A 1987 graduate of Astoria High School, she first worked as a medical assistant in Havana.  She later worked for an optometrist in Petersburg.

She enjoyed working in the yard and fishing.

Private family services will be held.  Memorials are suggested to the family.  The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville has been entrusted to care for Rebecca and her family.
