Theresa Wenger

Theresa Jane Wenger, 55, of Springfield, formerly of Rushville, passed away at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at the Mary Bryant Home in Springfield.

She was born on September 6, 1962, in Rushville, the daughter of Clifford Dawson and Helen Jane (Gregory) Wenger.

Surviving are one brother Ronald Eugene Wenger and wife Mary of Springfield, three nephews Bryan Douglas Wenger and wife Rhea, Jonathan Kyle Wenger and Trey Brokaw, great niece Sarah Baylee Wenger, great nephew Kyle Sebastian Wenger and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Thomas Dawson Wenger and Robert Allen Wenger.

Theresa was a 1980 graduate of Rushville High School.  She worked as a nurse’s aide at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville for many years.  She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, south of Rushville.  She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, coloring pictures, arts and crafts and collecting t-shirts from her family’s travels.

Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, with Ken Runkle officiating.  Interment will follow in the Palm Cemetery, west of Rushville.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to services time.  Memorials are suggested to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church or the Mary Bryant Home.
