LeRoy Crider

Victor LeRoy Crider, age 79, of Loraine, Illinois, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022, 3:14 AM at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.  He was born on October 13, 1943, in Vienna, Missouri, the son of Curtis and Velvia Wagner Crider.  He married Kathryn Shelton on September 18, 1963.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons:  Kevin (Michelle) Crider of Lima, Illinois and Brian Crider of Monroe City, Missouri; grandchildren:  Curtis (and fiancé, Alex St. Clair) Crider, Katie Jo (Brandon) Galleher, Carl (Kenzi Willing) Crider, Austin Crider, Jamie (Matthew) Wellman, Falina (Brandon) Wisdom, and Thomas Crider; four great grandchildren:  Devin, Noah, Madison, and Mason; and special friends: Samantha Brown, Nick, Nicky, and Tim Kinman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Carl Crider, and two sisters, Freida Scott and Verna McGraw.

Victor was self-employed as an electrician and farmer throughout his life.  He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and crappie fishing.  His family always came first and loved every minute spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He served as a scout leader for Loraine Troop #37.  He enjoyed working in his garden and loved his dogs, Shorty the Beagle and Shorty, Jr.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Loraine New Cemetery in Loraine with Tim White officiating.
