Bill was born on Feb. 5, 1929, in Quincy, to the late John W. and Ada Shriver Duncan. He married Delores Evans on June 23, 1951. Delores survives of Fowler.
Bill was a member of the Mendon Congregational Church and Adams County Farm Bureau. He was a past member of the Bear Creek American Legion and was on the Home Cemetery board. He was an avid Cubs fan.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
Surviving are his wife, Delores, of Fowler; two children, Cindy (Dennis) Mohrman of Normal and James "Jim" (Julie) Duncan of Chesterfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Dallas Duncan-Meteer (Travis), Cutter Duncan, Clare (Doug) Bergman, Matt Mohrman, Brandon Duncan, Michael Duncan, Anna Duncan; one great-grandchild, Griffin Bergman; and one brother, David (Linda) Duncan of Mendon.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Robert Duncan.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, in the Mendon Congregational Church in Mendon, with the Rev. Dennis Gartung officiating. Interment will be in Home Cemetery near Fowler.
VISITATION: 9-10 a.m. Wednesday in the Mendon Congregational Church.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mendon Congregational Church or to the Home Cemetery.
